Your College or University. The most obvious place to turn to for help for new inventors is your school or college. Many universities offer specific courses in research and development of new inventions. This can be an excellent way for you to get the training you need for a career in your chosen field. If you have specific questions or ideas for new inventions, your school may be able to help you develop them and begin your new career.
Patent Offices. The USPTO makes sure that all people who create inventions get some sort of protection. They allow a person to protect their idea for a limited time period, during which time other people cannot make any use of the invention. This protection also allows you to receive financial support for your research and development projects. Before you spend thousands of dollars on expensive legal expenses to get a patent, make sure that you fully understand the ins and outs of patent law and what you can expect from your patent office.
